Uma is currently offered for sale as we want to downsize to only 2 horses by fall. She is very reasonably priced for her quality and level of training (I've sold her offspring for $9000 prior to weaning!).

Uma knows her 2nd level movements (still needs work with Medium Trot) and has schooled some 3rd level movements such as half pass and a small amount of time with flying lead changes. Uma is soft in the bridle and is very responsive to the rider's seat. She is a solid 1st level dressage horse. Uma's training has been off and on to accommodate her having two foals. She just started back to work this spring several times a week (mainly trail riding) to get her back in shape.

I had planned on taking Uma to her first show and getting a new video in June; however, I broke my foot in May and won't be able to ride again until July. One of my students offered to take Uma to her first show on June 5th (after only 4 rides). Despite a few mistakes, Carien (a training level student) & Uma did well at their first show scoring 66.957% (3rd out of approximately 12 riders). On their second show together, Carien once again scored 66.15% (2nd out of around 8). For fun, they even attempted a 1st level test (1st out of 4). They did great considering Carien (the rider) didn't have experience sitting and only lengthened a handful of times :-)

Uma comes when called and is extremely responsive to voice commands and body language on the ground. She leads and lunges well without the use of a halter or rope.

Uma has a very active walk with a huge overtrack. Her trot has excellent suspension and reach. In 2006, Uma was inspected by the CWHBA for stud book entry and received an 8 for her trot. Uma is bred to jump; however, because of her lovely movement, we decided to put her into dressage training.

Uma is good with the farrier, trailers easily, baths and clips well.

Uma has produced two foals (one with frozen semen). Both foals showed excellent movement for the top levels of dressage.

Offspring:

Uma had an adorable filly April 19, 2009 sired by the KWPN stallion Farrington! Wow what a nice filly! Flashy trot with lots of suspension and a gorgeous uphill canter ... topped off with lots of chrome!

In 2006, Uma delivered Caprice D'Or, a gorgeous moving KWPN-na registered colt sired by the dressage stallion Jazz. This colt has excellent suspension and reach and is destined for the dressage ring.

Bloodlines:

Uma is registered Canadian Warmblood (CWHBA). She is sired by Urymate de st Hermelle a 16.2hh Belgian Warmblood who was imported from Belgian and competed in Show Jumping to CSIO Level Successfully. Urymate descends from such greats as Alme and Furioso xx.

Uma's dam, GENESEE, is an attractive mare with good size and type. Her sire goes back to the famous Hanoverian G line through her sire Godewind. (In Germany, Godewind's offspring have proven themselves in Grand Prix. His pedigree hails from the most famous jumping line of Gotthard whose descendants have set the standard for ability, winning over $120,000,000). On GENESEE's dam’s side, she is a descendent of native Dancer. During GENESEE’s CWHBA mare inspection, she received an 8 on the walk.
