Personality:
 |
Uma is a friendly mare with an excellent disposition. She is
fairly bold and likes to investigate new things. |
|
 |
Movement &
Training:
 |
Uma
has a very active walk with a huge overtrack. Her trot
has excellent suspension and reach. Uma
received an 8 for her trot upon CWHBA inspection. |
 |
Uma is bred to jump; however, she has such a wonderful
trot that we decided to put her into dressage training.
We feel she
should do equally well in dressage or jumping.
|
 |
Uma has been
in regular training since March 2008 and is progressing well. |
|
 |
Abilities
as a Broodmare:
 |
Uma is a super loving mother with good milk.
In 2007, she produced a fabulous moving colt, (who not only
inherited wonderful movement, but also inherited Uma's sweat, calm
disposition).

For Uma's
second foal, we bred her to the 16.3 hh dutch stallion,
Farrington on May 21, 2008.
Farrington has a high dressage Index of 129 (2007). During
his stallion test he received excellent marks (Walk 8.5, Trot 8,
Canter 8, Character 9). Farrington never competed in sport
do to a fractured leg, but was awarded the Keur Predicate by the
KWPN in 2002 for the excellent offspring he has produced.
Farrington carries the famous Doruto bloodlines (producer of top
dressage horses such as Olympic Barbria, Chevalier and Ideaal).
Farrington's sire is Wellington who is also known for producing
great movers (like Ceylon and Luxaflex).

Uma's dam, GENESEE, is an attractive mare
with good size and type. Her sire goes back to the famous Hanoverian G
line through her sire Godewind.
(In
Germany, Godewind's offspring have proven themselves in Grand Prix.
His pedigree hails from the most famous jumping line of
Gotthard whose
descendants have set the standard for ability, winning over
$120,000,000).
On GENESEE's dam’s side, she is a
descendent of native Dancer. During GENESEE’s
CWHBA mare inspection, she received an 8 on the walk. |
