Enya is a well handled filly.  She is friendly and enjoys being rubbed.  She leads well, lunges at the walk and trot, loads into the trailer and is good with her feet.

Enya should make a nice dressage or hunter prospect.   

Enya placed 3rd at the CWHBA Open Foal class.  Some of the comments that the inspector made include: "Feminine filly.  Balanced, light up in front. Nice shoulder.  Movement has good engagement"

Bloodlines:

Enya can be registered with the KWPN-na (North American Dutch Warmblood Association) or cwhba (Canadian Warmblood).    The paperwork is ready.  It just needs to be sent in.

 

Enya's SIRE is the 16.3hh, Dutch Warmblood stallion Farrington   Farrington has a high dressage index of 129 (2007).  He brings the famous Doruto bloodlines who produced top dressage horses as Olympic Barbria, Chevalier and Ideaal.  His sire Wellington also well known as producing great movers like Ceylon and Luxaflex Due to a fracture in his leg, Farrington was not able to perform in the sport, which is a pity because of the great talent he possesses.   However, in 2002, Farrington was awarded the Keur Predicate by the KWPN.  This is a high honor for a stallion indicating that he is a producer of good performance horses. Farrington is a super stallion for dressage.  He received high marks on all 3 gaits 8.5 walk, 8 trot and 8 for canter.  And a character of 9.  He was described in his testing that the work was easy for him and he was very willing to work.   His offspring perform very well in the sport, resulting in his high index. His progeny have placed high in the Pavo Cup, and many of them are already performing at the Prix St. George level.

Enya's DAM is Raquel II, a CWHBA bay mare with correct conformation and movement.  At her inspection, she received a premium score of 7.2 with an 8 for swing and elasticity.   Raquel's sire is Regardez who is currently being campaigned as a hunter.  Raquel descends from the well known dressage stallions such as Regazzoni, Rubinstein, as well as Werther and Fruehling. On Raquel's dam's side, she descends from Patrick, (a former international level jumper and sire of 14 international dressage horses), as well as Olympic Ahorn (An international jumping legend with the Dutch Team) & Nimmerdor (Elected in 2000 as "Stallion of the 20th Century" in the Netherlands.  Nimmerdor was 4th in the 2004-2005 KWPN Jumping Index).
